Electronic tendering within the eProcurement Scotl@nd service
eProcurement Scotland (ePS) provides access to electronic tendering through the eSourcing Scotland system. This system is an element of the "core" ePS service and is available to any buying organisation participating in the programme.
Why use Electronic Tendering?
Making use of electronic tendering enables buying organisations to manage the full lifecycle of the tendering process online. It focuses on the procurement activities leading up to contract award, allowing buyers to issue quotations, tender exercises, etc., electronically.

- reduction of paper trail on tendering exercises, reducing costs to both buyers and suppliers;
- reduction in the labour-intensive tasks of receipt, recording and distribution of tender submissions;

ePS Programme - Support & Advice
The eProcurement Scotland programme provides support to buying organisations implementing the eSourcing Scotland system. The Programme Office produces written guidance, provides ad-hoc advice, liaises with the service providers regarding technical and service issues, and co-ordinates the sharing of knowledge and experience among implementing organisations.
Training, coaching and on-line system documentation is provided for all users of eSourcing Scotland. Helpdesks are also available supporting both technical and non-technical queries.
