The e-Enablement Process

The e-Enablement Process

The aim of eProcurement Scotl@nd is to be the system of choice for the public sector in Scotland and therefore the only system which suppliers need to join in order to do business with any public sector organisation in Scotland. This differentiates eProcurement Scotl@nd from any other offering in the market.

In addition the business model for the service is not dependent upon suppliers incurring transaction fees for receiving and fulfilling orders through the system.

While we are still learning much about the process, early indications are that suppliers are seeing benefits in the approach being taken.

We focus here on the strategy being used to encourage and e-enable supplier organisations into the eProcurement Scotl@nd programme and the reactions of those buyers and suppliers that have been involved in the early stages. We also focus on the key role of supplier organisations within the programme and the importance which the eProcurement Scotl@nd buying organisations attach to the successful engagement of suppliers and their adoption of the service.
