It's Official - ePS is the best!

Sharing Services - ePS is a Winner

The Dorchester Hotel, ball gowns and bow ties sets the scene where ePS received its latest accolade - Best Shared Service at the National eGovernment Awards 2007. The awards are the UK's highest level commendation for the best e-Government and technology-driven services - services which, through innovative online delivery or IT implementation, have positively transformed the lives of citizens, local communities, business and stakeholder groups.

Beating the competition was no mean feat - eight other organisations from across the UK including Northern Ireland Dept of Finance and HM Prison Service were just some of the fantastic finalists that tried to impress the judges. However, once again the entry from ePS could not be overlooked - operational since 2002, over £2 billion of expenditure throughput and over 80 public sector organisations committed to using the service ePS overwhelmed the panel of judges who agreed that no other eProcurement service in the UK had achieved this level of success. This is sharing services at its best.

The enormous level of commitment and hard work that each of the 80 public sector organisations who are actively implementing our National shared eProcurement service is the key to the success of ePS - working together to achieve an effective and efficiency service bringing benefits to each and every organisation.
