Aberdeen University and Jewel and Esk Valley College Go-Live with ePS

On the 8th May 2007, following a 16 week implementation project the University of Aberdeen is the first institute within the Universities & Colleges sector to successfully go live with the eProcurement Scotl@nd service(ePS).

400 users from the School of Medicine will use the service ordering from over 300,000 lines of catalogue content from 116 enabaled suppliers. This is the largest volume of catalogue items available to any organisation in the first phase of an ePS roll out and creates a terrific base both for the rest of the University and the higher and further education sector as a whole. Additionally 7 punch-out sites have been configured.

The University will continue to roll-out across the rest of its Schools and hopes to complete the project by December 2007.

On 16 May 2007, following a 18 week implementation project, Jewel & Esk Valley College was the first College within the sector to successfully go live with ePS. This is a significant achievement for Jewel and Esk Valley College as they are the first Scottish public sector organisation to implement ePS in a single phase across the whole organisation.

70 users across 20 departments will use the service with 100 enabled suppliers and over 41,000 searchable product lines. This significantly increases the number of product lines available to specific users. Additionally 3 punch-out sites have been configured.
