eProcurement Scotland National Conference 27-28 March
The 6th National eProcurement Scotland Conference took place in the scenic setting of the Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 March. This year's Conference was a key date for those involved in eProcurement in the Public Sector, providing the opportunity engage with a range of professionals who support the eProcurement services. This year's programme kicked off on Thursday at 10am and included:
- a keynote address on 'Securing the Continuity of Service - Outline of Future Delivery Plans' from Ian Burdon, eProcurement Programme Sponsor.
- interactive workshops on 'Constant Recover and Business Continuity', 'Content Management - Technical Functionality and Delivery' and 'PECOS Functionality development and Core Infrastructure Changes'.
- a conference dinner hosted by John Swinney, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth. As this is a formal dinner the dress code for this event is lounge suits
Friday saw:
- a presentation on 'Investment for the Future' by Bill Lock, Chairman of Elcom
- two further interactive sessions on 'eSourcing Scotland' and a demonstration of a new interactive online training tool.
- with a final Q&A session finishing the Conference at lunchtime.
